Why is the tank blue at night?

I use 4 underwater LED spotlights to illuminate the tank at night, to simulate moonlight and to provide limited nighttime viewing while allowing the fish some peace.

These lights are situated just below the water level and actually point up, out of the water, into the main light's reflector. This reduces the brightness signifigantly, and also means the water has a nice shimmerring effect much like it would with light shining down from above.

In the future I am planning to modify the hood to include the lights so they give a more even illumination and can be taken out of the tank, the less 'stuff' cluttering up the tank the better.

Where can I get lights like yours?

I bought mine from Jaycar, a local electronics shop. They have them online...
