Dwarf Gourami Loses Battle

Over the past two week or so I have been fighting a battle against fungus. My Dwarf Gourami developed quite bad body fungus and I was treating him for some time. Today i thought teh battle was almost over, as the last patch of fungus fell off and i had hopes he would go on to recover. Alas it was not to be. About 5 hours later, he died. I'm pretty devastated, that's two fish lost now and nothing I was really able to do to save either of them. I had lots of good advice from people on various forums, and I thank them for that, but in the end it all came to nought. Tomorrow I will start the process of returning the tank to a 'normal' state and removing the meds from the system with water changes and charcoal.
